Carving out Time

Last night we did a little pumpkin carving.  Well, Calvin did a little pumpkin carving since the kids are still little.  But they drew the face and had fun participating.

7 Hours!

Tosca slept 7 hours last night!  I woke up in a panic counting the time.  8:30 - 3:30!  I couldn't believe it and wondered if maybe I had fed her in there somewhere and just not remembered?  Anyhow, it made for a good night's sleep, even if she is feeding now every 2 /2 hours today to make up for it.

Calvin and Landon can't get enough.  Each morning Landon comes in and says, "Hi Tosca" in a super high voice.  Way cute.

Here she is with her eyes wide open.  In between cries.  This is my view holding her, which I do for most of the day (with no regrets).  She likes to be close.

We are all doing better each day.  My new motto is "progress".  As long as I see progress I am fine.  Each day I try to do a little more and it seems to be working.  I'm feeling good and Tosca is getting in a routine which is very nice.

 Big brother took to her immediately.

Big sister didn't know what the excitement was all about but she was excited!  They finally got to meet her after one week of her being in the NICU.  Sibling visitation was Sunday and it was so special.  Today we get to bring her home... finally.  Much love will be bestowed upon our new little one.

My mom is in town (!) so we have lots of help this week.  The laundry pile has already magically disappeared.  When I saw her coming down the terminal, I had visions of Mary Poppins and had to look twice to see if she was carrying a black umbrella.

Due Date nearly come and gone

Well today's my due date and it looks like the baby won't be born when she is "supposed" to be.  Lots of cramping today and so it has to be soon, right?!?

I am thinking she may be born on 10/10/10.  So cool and easy to remember.  But if not, I will schedule for as soon as possible after my next doctor's appointment, which is Tuesday.  I can't imagine going another week feeling like this.  So close, so close.

Braxton Hicks

I am so tired of having Braxton Hicks contractions each evening/night.  If this keeps up, I will be exhausted by the time I truly go into labor!  They get increasingly worse each night and tonight were a bit hard to take for a while.

I go to see the doctor this Tuesday and Friday is the baby's due date.  So we will meet our new little girl soon!  The doctor should schedule me for an induction if I don't go before one week after the due date.

Fingers crossed for some rest and an uncomplicated labor.
